Rocco posts this amazing news item:
From the "strange but true" file, a recent announcement of note -- B16's so-advertised "Midnight Mass" of Christmas will begin at 10pm Rome time on 24 December (4pm Eastern, 1pm Pacific).Wish I'd known about this before we started publishing our Christmas schedule which includes Midnight Mass at, well... midnight!
And, well, so much for the one place you wouldn't think of wondering "What time is Midnight Mass?"

I love this question...... We live in a very small parish and share a priest with 3 parishes. We have answered the phone at our home since I was 3 years old (1974). So when the phone rings at the rectory it also rings in our home. I was taught at an early age how to answer the "church" phone. I am now 38 and moved back home to help care for my parents. The church phone still rings at our home and it is amazing the questions we are sometime ask. I used to laugh all the time over the midnight mass question..... Our midnight mass was always at midnight!!!!!! But, you can guarantee every year we will get at least 9 or 10 people who call and ask. Thanks for sharing your blog.... I enjoy reading it!
