Yes, I've read Bertoni's astonishing clanger of a statement. It is just appalling that he can say this and cite some highly dubious piece of "research" to support his irresponsible stance. I have been a human biologist and a counsellor for many years until I retired and this sort of homophobic rubbish is yet another huge gaffe from the hierarchy. The man should resign NOW !!
ReplyDeleteI had just posted on my blog today that I was taking a break from posting about the "goings on" in the Church because I was weary of it but it seems I can't be silent when this "stuff" is still going on. I can feel thr frustration rising in me again !!

Good is bound to come out of all this if we only have the patience and fortitude to hang in. This hasn't been an easy ride and I imagine it will get rougher still before it gets better.

I'm glad that the Vatican is mandating Bishops to report abuse to the police.

The homophobic attitudes still amaze me? Are these educated people?
