Update: From Rocco, a bishop's comment
A few weeks ago I posted (here and here) on the second grand jury report on sexual abuse of minors by clergy in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The grand jury reported that "at least 37 priests who are subject to 'substantial evidence of abuse' are still in roles that bring them into contact with children."
Today, Philly native Rocco gives us the latest update on this story: 21 Philadelphia priests have been placed on administrative leave.
As Lent begins, let us pray for the whole Church of Philadelphia and especially for anyone who has been betrayed and abused.
