This Sunday's scriptures include Matthew's account of Christ and the Canaanite woman. I'm not preaching this weekend so I'll have no homily to post.
The illustration above (detail from a page in a 15th century Book of the Hours) offers some lush coloration: the painting a feast for the eyes, the gospel story a feast for the soul!
