Yesterday we asked, again, what God might want to do in our minds and hearts, in our lives, this Lent.
My 10 minutes of prayer each day are an opportunity for me to speak my word to the Lord
and for the Lord to speak his word to me...
Is there a word about myself I need to speak to the Lord - today?
Might I ask for the courage to speak that word in prayer?
Is the Lord waiting for me to break my silence?
What word might the Lord want to speak to me this Lent? this day?
What word do I want or need to hear from the Lord?
Is it a word of comfort? a word of challenge?
a word of forgiveness? a word of healing?
a word of consolation? a word of reconciliation?
What words might the Lord want to speak and plant and root in me today?
Am I waiting for the Lord to break his silence?Conversation with the Lord, speaking to him and listening for him, is helped when I find
a time apart from my every-day routine...
a place where I can be quiet...
a place where I can be still...
a place where I know that God is with me...
