A midday prayer: TUESDAY 9/11

Some days are cloudy in my heart,
no matter how sunny it is outdoors:
9/11 is one of those days...

Hear my clouded prayers, Lord,
for those who died, for those they left behind
and for all of us who seek the peace
that only you can give...

  1. How can any of us ever forget those horrendous happenings. I can remember exactly what I was doing that day....and it seemed for days afterward. Many of us either knew or knew of people who were lost in that tragedy and continue to hold them and their families in prayer. It also happens to be the birthday of my oldest grandson - 33 today - and it affected him terribly. He did go into a deep depression and each year was always a problem. Mental health issues are always hard to live with. Our hearts and prayers go out to all those people who still live with the pain today.
