The Third Sunday of Advent was a long day: the liturgy prayerful and musically powerful; the scriptures rich and challenging; the community blessed by the gift of tears... A light snow dressed the town in a mantle of white... In the late afternoon some 500 teens in our church to hear Jason Evert speak on living a chaste life...
And finally Evening Prayer:
Day is done, but love unfailing dwells ever here
Shadows fall, but hope, prevailing, calms every fear.
Loving Father, none forsaking,
take our hearts of Love's own making
Watch our sleeping, guard our waking, be always near...
