God is all about new beginnings
and offers them to us 24/7
-- not just on New Year's Day...
But January 1 is a new beginning
and with it comes the grace, the desire, the prayer
to start fresh, with God's help,
and perhaps to do what I've not yet done
or have not yet done as well as I'd hoped..
Give me the grace, Lord, to live today, just today,
in your presence, in your peace and in your love...
And the rest of this year, Lord,
I entrust to your care...
