Out searching for a haiku...

A friend teaches English in a local private boys' school.  After last night's snowfall, he posted this photo on his Face Book page with the simple notation: "My English class searching for a haiku..."

What an experience that must have been: to walk through a field on a cold morning, searching for a poem hidden somewhere in the snow, the dried stalks, the tree branches - or perhaps in the gray clouds.

How thoroughly sacramental...

It warms my heart to know that a man like Fitz is teaching young boys today.

To have confidence that his students will find a haiku is another gift to them!
