Confirmation in my parish today, Lord -
nearly 70 high school students!
In the ceremony we'll pray that your Spirit
give them the gifts of:
wisdom, understanding, right judgement,
courage, knowledge, reverence and
wonder and awe in your presence...
It's been over half a century
since I was confirmed, Lord...
Please, send your Spirit into my heart again
to refresh the gifts you gave me in 1961...
