Word for the Weekend: December 15

Who doesn't need more patience?  I know I do.

At one time or another, who doesn't think the Lord acts either too slowly?

Who among us is as patient with our neighbors as we'd want them to be with us?

Who among us might not need to grow in patience with the self?

While our children grow impatient waiting for gifts under the tree, we grown-ups might need to learn to be patient with how God is moving in their lives. From the farmer's, the gardener's perspective, the second scripture today counsels patience and those words might be just what you and I need to hear.
