After all these years...

Seven years ago today I decided to try my hand at writing a blog.

I didn't dream then that seven years later I'd still be posting on a daily basis! This page has changed over the years, as have I and the lives of readers who've been with me since the very beginning.  I'm grateful to them and to all of you who have joined us along the way.  (One thing I never expected was the wonderful role that FaceBook has come to play as a vehicle for linking to and commenting on this page!)

Most of all, I'm grateful to God for all the ways the Spirit stirs in my heart, my mind and my imagination when I sit down to write and share with you in prayer and reflection.

This page has become part of my prayer life and I hope it's part of yours, too.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

  1. Ad multos annos! Blessings to you! And thank you for living so generously; I frankly do not know how you do it! But I am so glad that you do.

My comments are fewer these days, but your blog remains a favorite site always.

  3. Dear Father Fleming,

...and a very happy blog birthday to you and may you be able to celebrate it in good health, in style, happily and joyfully while you are on vacation!

And I thank God for you, and for using you to bring us so many heartfelt prayers and messages, beautiful photography, moving music, thought-provoking homilies, and an all-around prayerful experience, often helping me pray when my own words are slow in coming!

    May He bless you abundantly!

  4. Happy anniversary! I've been a reader from the beginning and on occassions a commenter. I come here daily to pray and I've referred friends and family who do the same. Thank you!

  6. Doesn't seem possible that it has been seven years since you started your blog. What a blessing it has been in my life and that of so many others. Thank you, Austin. May God bless you and may His peace refresh your spirit while you are away.

  7. Congrats on 7!

I loved blogging when I was in the ministry. Of course that was before Facebook when a lot of folks were blogging. These days I blog less (a few times a week) even though I have more time to write. December will mark the 10th anniversary of blogging for me.
