Help me remember, Lord,
that everyone I meet today will have some problems,
many of them greater than my own...
Help me remember, Lord,
that all the folks I speak with today have their worries
and their fears are very often just like mine...
Help me remember today, Lord,
that every person bears some grief,
that I'm no stranger to the hurt of disappointment...
Help me remember today, Lord,
that just as no one knows all I hold within my soul
neither do I know all the burdens others carry...
Make me gentle, then, along my path
and peaceful in my words,
help me meet my neighbors everywhere
as I'd have them meet me...
