Lord,
you know everything
that will happen in my life today
but it's all still a mystery to me...
And because I'm slow to trust:
1) I'll worry and fret
about things I don't know.
2) I'll run and hide
from what I need not fear.
3) I'll spend my day second-guessing
all that I say and do.
What a waste of a day, Lord!
A waste of this day, your gift to me...
So give me the faith I need, Lord:
to accept my day as it comes,
to trust that you walk by my side,
to live this day in your peace...
