Another day, Lord:
   a gift from you to me
      to open in my heart and in my hands...

Another day, Lord:
   a challenge to accept and not avoid;
      a mystery not to solve but to be lived...

Another day, Lord:
   not like any day before nor any one to come
      and, indeed, the only day I truly have...

Another day, Lord:
   I might fear it, try to flee it
      but with your help I'll face and live it...

Another day, Lord:
   but not "just" another day for it's the day
      that you have made for me to make my own...

A brand new day, for yesterday is gone 
   and tomorrow's not yet here:

      let me own this day, Lord, and live it in your peace...
