Pause for Prayer: THURSDAY 6/16

These past week I've known a deep peace, Lord,
so deep I know it could only have come from you...

And so I pray...

For the gift of your presence around me,
   I thank you, Lord...

For prayer that streams from my heart,
   I thank you, Lord...

For peace that blesses, like sunlight,
   I thank you, Lord...

For the consolation of faith,
   I thank you, Lord...

For hope born of trust,
   I thank you, Lord,

For strength built on grace,
   I thank you, Lord...

For all good gifts from your heart and hand,
   I thank you, Lord...

At the same time, Lord, I know so many
who ache for your peace and presence...

And so I pray...

Touch all who long for your peaceful presence,
I pray, O Lord...

Give ear to all who cry to you,
   I pray, O Lord...

Shine bright on those whose path is dark,
   I pray, O Lord...

Give comfort and joy to all in distress,
   I pray, O Lord...

Be the hope of all who who struggle to trust,
   I pray, O Lord...

Be strength for the weak in body and soul,
   I pray, O Lord...

Be generous in sharing your gifts with all,
   I pray, O Lord...

God of peace mercy, of light and comfort,
of hope and strength,
give your people a share in all the good gifts
that come from your heart and hand...
