NIGHT PRAYER: Wednesday 4/20

I first posted this about a year ago but I know some folks who might find this prayer helpful right now. Join me in praying for those who feel lost and long to be found...

 

When I'm lost, without a compass,

not sure of where I am,

come find me, Lord...

 

When I feel that I'm invisible,

that no one knows I'm here,

come find me, Lord...

 

When I speak but no one answers

and I fear that no one hears me,

come find me, Lord...

When I've lost my place,

can't find my place,

come find me, Lord...

 

When the loneliness is palpable

and clouds are closing in,

come find me, Lord:

from nowhere bring me somewhere,

to a place where I belong...

Come running, Lord,

and take me home

into your arms, into your heart,

to the place where I belong...

 

Come find me, Lord:

lift me up from where I've fallen, lift me up 

to where your light comes streaming in,

to where the morning breaks 

and all is new and I am home

because you've found me

and I've let myself be found...

Protect me, Lord, while I'm awake

and watch over me while I sleep

that awake, I might keep watch for you,

as you keep watch for me until I'm found,

until I'm home, at peace, with you...
