You will not fail today, Lord,
    to show me your face,
    to speak to my heart
    and touch me with your blessing...

You will not fail today, Lord,
    to walk by my side
    and show me the way
    that goes where your Spirit leads...

You will not fail today, Lord,

    to help me carry the burdens I bear,

    to be the light in my darkest hour,

    piercing my sadness with joy...

You will not fail today, Lord,
    to offer me what I'll need
    to reach day's end and fall asleep
    with my heart at peace with you...

So, help me, Lord, not fail today

    to watch for you

        and listen for your word;

    to find you here, right by my side         

        at every twist and turn;

    to open wide my heart to know

        your gentle, healing touch...
