In the next 24 hours, Lord,
open my eyes and ears
to all you want me
to see and hear…

Open my mind
to all you'd have me ponder
and my heart to all
you will call me to love…

Open my hands to help 

whoever's in need

of my presence and strength,

my shoulder, compassion and comfort... 

Open my mouth, Lord,

to speak the words,

and only the words,
that others may need to hear from me...

Open my soul

to find a time, to find a place,
to sit with you in the silence
and open my heart to you...

And when I want to give in, Lord,
and when I want to shut down:
    open me up, refresh my spirit
    and help me begin again
    - and again and again and again...
