Help me remember, Lord
that justice isn't "getting even"
- it's giving each an even chance...
that justice isn't "things my way"
- it's giving way to others' needs...
that justice isn't blind but sees
what I neglect, ignore, deny...
that justice leans not left nor right,
but centers always on the truth...
that justice, though not always swift
- is forbearing, sure, persistent...
Help me not forget, Lord,
how beautiful is justice,
how comely she appears:
the public face of love, revealed,
integrity,disclosed...Amen.
