Pause for Prayer: MONDAY 7/10

Good morning, good God!

 

This morning, Lord, 

I offer you that place in my heart

most in need

    of your peaceful presence,

    your gentle touch,

    your calming voice,

    your mending stitch,

    your cleansing grace,

    your healing balm,

    your gift of faith,

    your kiss of mercy,

    your arm's strength,

    your Spirit's wisdom,

    your consoling word,

    your compassionate comfort

        and care...

 

So, give me the grace, Lord,

to open my heart 

in the places where I most need you:

    in my loneliness, loss and grief,

    my brokenness, sorrow and sin,

    my confusion, doubt and fear,

    in my wounded body and soul

and in every place 

where I'm short of confidence,

    hope and trust, conviction 

    and blessed assurance...

That's what I offer this morning, Lord,

    and that's my prayer for today;

be generous and kind when you answer me

    and gentle in touching my heart...
