It's Saturday morning, the weekend,
and I was thinking, Lord:
what if I spent today and tomorrow
looking to do
something I believe you're asking me to do,
looking to do
something to benefit the people I live with,
looking to do
something to enhance my physical well-being,
looking to do
something honest and just,
looking to do
something to heal another's pain,
looking to do
something to serve those in need,
looking to do
something to comfort another,
looking to do
something to lighten another's burdens,
looking to do
something to make someone's day brighter,
looking to do
something to help make peace,
looking to do
what will change what needs changing in me,
looking to do
the next right thing,
looking to do
something that makes a good difference,
looking to do
something I've put off for too long,
looking to do
what mercy and love call me to do,
looking to do something, Lord, whatever it be
to lead me to you in prayer...
It's Saturday morning, the weekend, Lord,

looking to do only the things you call me to do...
