Just as the Pope says, here are the Sunday scripture readings and here's the site offering background information on those passages.
Time to start of your homework!
Daily Prayer, Spirituality and Worship in the Roman Catholic Tradition
Steady me,
balance me,
ground me...
Nudge me,
prod me
push me...
Relax me,
lift me,
cheer me…
Plant me,
root me,
embed me...
Grace me,
gift me,
fill me…
Comfort me,
soothe me,
console me…
Support me,
sustain me,
protect me...
Open me,
grow me,
complete me…
Inspire me,
encourage me,
embolden me…
Heal me,
mend me,
repair me...
Forgive me,
pardon me,
free me...
Renew me,
refresh me,
restore me...
Shepherd me,
lead me,
guide, me...
Touch me,
bless me,
anoint me...
Enfold me,
hold me,
embrace me...
Lord, hear my prayer today!
Your blog is very creative. I like that you use humor with the Pope cartoon, which lightens the mood on the more serious topic of scripture.
ReplyDeleteOne line stands out in the readings for me, and that is the last line on the Gospel. "Your faith has saved you." In times of great sadness in my life I admit to having doubts of God's presence in my life. But when I look back to the worst times, (so far!), it has been my faith that got me through the sadness.
