Monday of Holy Week

Because of this, God greatly exalted him
and bestowed on him the name
which is above every other name,
that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bend,
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

- Philippians 2:6-11

The image of the crucified Christ shows us a man bent for love of us.
We who would follow the way, the word, the will of Christ
should not be surprised if in following him,
our lives are bent for love of others.
In the Holy Week ahead of us, we will walk the way
of the One whose body was bent on the Cross
that we might know his Father's mercy.
May our lives bend to him, and to others
as we walk toward Easter...
