I often preach a briefer, unscripted, less formal homily at the 4:00 Vigil Mass for Christmas and a longer, more formal one at the other Masses. The large crowds and the presence of so many children are factors in this approach. Some years, after preaching at the 4:00, I scrap the formal homily and stay with the simpler one. This was one of those years. So, I have no text to offer you, just the audio. Without a text, it comes out a little different each time. This is the Midnight version. (I prefer this morning's 10:30 edition but I had a techno-fail with my recorder!)
