Third Candle on the Advent Wreath

Every year on the Third Sunday of Advent we dress up our Advent wreath along with lighting the rose candle. (Click on the image for a larger version.)

This Sunday is called Gaudete Sunday, "Gaudete" being the Latin for "Rejoice!"  The given entrance song for this Sunday begins, in Latin, with "Gaudete in Domino semper" or "Rejoice in the Lord always.  Here's the English translation of the this piece which you'll hear in Latin in the video.

Rejoice in the Lord always: 

Gaudete in Domino semper:

I say again, rejoice: 

iterum dico, gaudete:

let your modesty be known unto all: 

modestia vestra nota sit omnibus hominibus:

The Lord is at hand. 

Dominus prope est. 

Let nothing upset you: 

Nihil solliciti sitis:

but in all prayers make your needs known unto God.

sed in omni oratione petitiones vestrae innotescant apud Deum.
