Pick me up, Lord,
dust me off
and polish my tarnished spots...
Give me a kick
just where I need it
and get me going once again...
Open my eyes
to see what's before me
now, in the moment, today...
Jump start my will
to attend to my work
and to do the next right thing...
Breathe in my soul
and fill my heart afresh
with your Spirit's grace...
A new beginning
is what I need,
a chance to make things right...
Stay with me, Lord,
the whole day through,
walk every step by my side...
And when night falls,
sound sleep I pray,
till you shake me awake in the morn...
