  1. Lord, hear our prayer!
Maybe it's me but I left our 4 pm mass today feeling like there were missed opportunities for evangelizing by our priest. ( Father spoke about the peace we find in Christ during the storms of our lives). I was dissapointed that there were no prayers offered for the people of Charlston, not even one mention of this horrible event. Also, a connection could have been made with the Gospel and Pope Francis' encyclical regarding the environment. I would be interested in hearing from others and about their experience at this Sunday's liturgy. These 2 subjects are in our hearts and minds this weekend!

  2. I wonder if you're the Anne who used to comment here quite frequently: if so, welcome back! If not, glad to make your acquaintance. My homily won't be posted until tomorrow afternoon but it does move from the scriptures to both the encyclical and the Charleston tragedy. And we're praying for the people of Charleston in our intercessions.
