Once again, Lord,
it's settling in my soul...
Once again,
January's dark, cold gray
is making itself to home,
uninvited and paying no attention
to my heart's complaint
of its unbidden visit...
So, lest this first month's chill frost
some tender place within my heart,
come visit in the depths that plumb my soul
until the heat of you has thawed,
has melted and made one
my heart with yours...
Amen.
