I know I'm supposed to keep it in
TODAY
leaving yesterday behind me
and the future for tomorrow...
But sometimes, like this week,
I can't but look back with praise
for how you've brought me to
TODAY...
And I look ahead with hope and pray
you'll be there in the week to come
just as you were there
TODAY...
I offer thanks and praise
for how you've brought me safe thus far
and how you'll be there on the morrow
as I'm mindful, in the moment,
to keep it in
TODAY...
