O rain, rain,
reign of God:
come today
and never, ever,
go away...
Let your healing soak me
like the rain:
your mercy, Lord, a downpour,
your reign a summer shower...
Soak me, drench me -
all but drown me!
Leave me dripping:
moist anointings,
washing me from head to toe,
cleansed, refreshed and purified...
Lift my face, rejoicing
in a downpour
of your everlasting love...
Let me drink you in
and drink you down:
deeply quenching
my soul's deepest thirst...
O rain, rain,
reign of God:
come today
and never, ever,
go away...
