Just yesterday, in a moment of pure grace,
the Lord poked my heart
and nudged me out of a foggy haze - to prayer...
I wonder how long he'd been trying to get my attention,
how often he tugged on my sleeve before I noticed,
how many times he called my name before I answered...
I wonder how many times each day
the Lord pokes, nudges and tugs,
looking to spend some quality time with me, in prayer...
Give me the grace I need today, Lord,
to wake up when you nudge me,
to hear you when you call me,
to turn my heart to you in prayer...
