At sunset, Lord, at dusk,
a grace in the evening shadows
calls me to your presence,
inviting me to pray,
to listen for your voice, your word, your truth.
to await your healing touch...
Sometimes in my prayer, Lord,
even often,
what I find inside myself is not the same,
just doesn't match,
the outside others see...
I disguise, I hide my brokenness:
the walls I build inside keep me from others
and from you, and from the person
you're calling me to be...
Somewhere deep inside I fail to love
the person you created me to be:
I deny my strengths and goodness,
seeing only faults and failings,
while my gifts are left unopened
and my talents waste away...
In this maze of thoughts and feelings,
I feel lost with no way out:
I need you, Lord,
to lead me and guide me,
mend me and heal me
- from the inside out-
'til I'm whole and I'm made holy
by your grace and by your touch,
by your Spirit, love and mercy...
Rebuild me from the bottom up,
renew me with your presence,
recreate me from the inside out
and make of me, O Lord, a worthy shelter
for your holy, saving name...
Protect me, Lord, while I'm awake
and watch over me when I sleep
that awake, I might keep watch with you
and asleep, rest in your peace...
Amen.

Shelter Your Name by Danielle Rose
You are all I am not
You are all that I am
Break down these walls
Take all my brokenness
Rebuild me to shelter your name
You are all I am not
You are all that I am
Jesus, break down these walls
Take all my brokenness
Rebuild me to shelter your name
Help me forgive myself
Help me to lift the cross
I've laid upon my soul
Help me to look at myself
Through your eyes
To see all I am
And still be satisfied
Help me forgive myself
Chorus
Within my secrets, Jesus
There you reside
And I need you to reconcile
To renew all that's inside
For if I want to love you
Then with your love, Jesus
I must love myself humbly, too
Chorus
Break down these walls
Take all my brokenness
Rebuild me to shelter your name
You are all I am not
You are all that I am
Jesus, break down these walls
Take all my brokenness
Rebuild me to shelter your name
Help me forgive myself
Help me to lift the cross
I've laid upon my soul
Help me to look at myself
Through your eyes
To see all I am
And still be satisfied
Help me forgive myself
Chorus
Within my secrets, Jesus
There you reside
And I need you to reconcile
To renew all that's inside
For if I want to love you
Then with your love, Jesus
I must love myself humbly, too
Chorus
