This day, like most,
will have its ups and downs:
moments of joy and moments of sorrow...
Lift me up when the joy comes 'round, Lord
and let me down easy when sadness draws near...
And in between all the highs and lows,
just hold me close by your side...
May this day dawn with your blessing, Lord,
and end with a peaceful night...
Amen.
