Tonight, Lord, in my part of the world,
we'll play with time...
We'll turn our clocks back and together pretend
that we've found or gained an hour's time...
So help us see, Lord, the time we might gain
by more wisely spending the time we have...
Help us see all the time we might find
by passing our days in more mindful ways...
Help us see all the time we might save
by using our time for things that matter...
Help us see all the time we might keep
by giving up time for those in need...
Help us see how our time can expand
when we share it with you in prayer and praise...
Time is your gift to us, Lord:
help us spend it wisely,
share it freely,
and use it to grow in our faith in you...
Protect us, Lord, while we're awake
and watch over us while we sleep
that awake, we might keep watch with you
and asleep, rest in your peace...
Amen.
To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time to every purpose, under heaven
A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep
A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones,
A time to gather stones together
A time to cast away stones,
A time to gather stones together
A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace,
A time to refrain from embracing
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace,
A time to refrain from embracing
A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late
