NIGHT PRAYER: Tuesday 6/21

Let there be peace on earth, Lord,
the peace that is meant to be,
the peace that begins with you...

Let there be peace
   among all the world's nations,
        especially between Ukraine and Russia...

Let there be peace, Lord,
   between us and your creation,
the home you entrust to our care...

Let there be peace
   in our homeland, Lord,
a peace that joins us as one...

Let there be peace
   between blacks and whites,
        peace that's blind to color...

 Let there be peace
   between right and left,
Ds and Rs, and libs and trads...

Let there be peace,
   understanding, respect,
        between LGBTQ and S

Let there be peace
at our nation's border, and a welcome
at the borders of our hearts...

Let there be peace
    in the halls of government
        and the courtrooms of justice...
Let there be peace, not violence,
  where we worship and learn,
    where we work and play...

Let there be peace
in our homes and our families,
in our neighborhoods, cities and towns...

Let there be peace
    where anger is raw
          and patience is scarce...

Let there be peace
   in times of mistrust,
        dispelling confusion and fear...

Let there be peace
in my thoughts, words and deeds,
in my sleep, in my dreams, in my prayer...

Let there be peace, throughout the whole world,
the peace that begins with you, Lord,
the peace that is meant to be...

Protect us, Lord while we're awake
and watch over us while we sleep
that awake, we might keep watch with you
and asleep, rest in your peace...

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you.
Deep peace of Christ,
of Christ the light of the world to you.
Deep peace of Christ to you.
