Lord, I won't know
all the stories and worries,
the pain and the problems,
the hardships and heartaches
weighing on the hearts
of those whose I meet today...
Nor will others know
the problems and predicaments,
fear and foreboding,
fear and foreboding,
dilemmas and doubts
my own heart carries,
hidden deep within...
hidden deep within...
So, help us be gentle, Lord,
and help us be patient
with all we meet and know,
as you are with us, Lord,
always, gently, without fail,
day by day by day...
