Pause for Prayer: TUESDAY 1/7

Lord, I won't know 

   all the stories and worries,

   the pain and the problems, 

   the hardships and heartaches

       weighing on the hearts 

          of those whose I'll meet today...

 

Nor will others know 

    the problems and predicaments,
    fear and foreboding,

    the dilemmas and doubts 

       my own heart carries,
           hidden deep within me... 

So, help us all be gentle, Lord,

    and patient, too,

        with all we meet and know,

as you, Lord, are with us,

    always, without fail,   

        day by day by day...
