An Evening for Priests Together

This is out of the ordinary for ConcordPastor's blog, but I'm placing this announcement here for two reasons. First, there are priests who read this blog and they may be interested in this opportunity. Second, I think it would be helpful for all readers here to know that Boston College is actively engaged in developing and enhancing parish ministry through such programs.

An Evening for Priests Together

The Priest as Collaborative Minister
Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007; 5:00-8:00pm Gasson Hall 100 - Boston College

The second Vatican Council’s ecclesiology of communion entails and requires mutual trust and genuine cooperation among all who minister in a parish community - the ordained, lay ecclesial ministers, and volunteers. How does collaborative ministry become real in a parish setting? What kind of training is needed? What are the challenges which likely must be faced? What are the benefits for all who call a parish home? This evening workshop will focus on bringing local priests together and will conclude with dinner and drinks.

Presenter: Rev. James Bacik, Pastor of Corpus Christi University Parish, Campus Minister and Adjunct Professor of Humanities at the University of Toledo.
Presented by IREPM in collaboration with the Church in the 21st Century Center.

(No charge)
