just a few of the things
uncontrollable, controversial and recreational,
just a few of the things, Lord,
consuming our time, our interest, our energy...
The weather, the wall and the Super Bowl:
how do you see these, Lord?
And more importantly,
how do you see how we see them,
how we deal with them,
work with them,
endure and enjoy them?
The weather, the wall and the Super Bowl:
just a few of the things, Lord,
the things that fill our minds and hearts
with worry, anger and favoritism,
with anticipation, determination and excitement,
with fear, resentment and pride,
with delight, perseverance and hope...
The weather, the wall and the Super Bowl, Lord:
help us discern what's important and what's not;
what's within our grasp and beyond it;
help us see the difference
between what's real and fake, what's true and false;
help us know the difference between the things
that truly lift us up and those that let us down...
The weather, the wall and the Super Bowl, Lord:
help us see in them and through them
any and every way you show yourself to us,
any and every way you call us
to follow where you lead...
