Whatever word you speak to me today,
and you will, Lord,
help me hear and take it to heart...
Whomever you bring for me to serve today,
and you will,
help me serve my neighbor freely and generously...
Wherever you might lead me today, Lord,
and you will,
help me follow wherever you go...
However you ask me to change today, Lord,
and you will,
give me the wisdom to do so gracefully...
Whomever you call me to forgive this day,
and you will,
help me do so with a loving, open heart...
Whenever you call me to task this day,
and you will, Lord,
help me respond humbly and quickly...
However you reveal yourself to me today,
and you will, Lord,
help me see you and welcome you...
Whatever burden you give me to carry today,
and you will,
help me carry it with strength and grace...
Whatever you ask of me this day,
and you will, Lord,
help me to do it without grumbling or complaint...
However you might surprise me today, Lord,
and you will,
help me receive it as a grace and blessing...
And whenever I ignore or forget you today,
and I will, Lord,
turn my heart again to you in prayer...
