In these days of goodbyes and farewells, Lord,
I've not felt so truly loved,
deeply cherished,
and warmly cared for
since the day my mother and father
first welcomed and held me in their arms...
Help me hold dear, Lord,
the memory of this time:
a sign of your love for me,
made a sacrament,
in your people's warm embrace...
