How many of us, today and tomorrow, will be reciting to ourselves,
"Thirty days hath September,April, June and November..."?
That little mnemonic rhyme has served me well through a whole lifetime of calendar changes! There are many variations on the rhyme - here's the one I favor:
Thirty days hath September,
April, June and November.
All the rest have thirty-one
Except February
To which we twenty-eight assign,
'Til leap year gives us twenty-nine.
