Pause for Prayer: SUNDAY 10/12

Today's gospel is about gratitude - thus, this Pause for Prayer...

 

Today I'm grateful, Lord, 

for people who are patient with me

and my random, odd, annoying ways...

 

Today I'm grateful, Lord,  

for people who bear with me graciously 
when I'm cranky, tired and grouchy...

 

Today I'm grateful, Lord,  

for people who fill in for me
when I've got too much to do...

 

Today I'm grateful, Lord, 

for people who have my back
without my even knowing...

Today I'm grateful, Lord,  

for people who sustain me 

when I'm powerless and weak...

Today I'm grateful, Lord,  

for people I work with every day 

and who make my work a joy...

 

Today I'm grateful, Lord, I

for people who don't even know
how great a gift they are to me...

Today I'm grateful, Lord,  

for all the hidden, unseen folks

who keep my world together...

Today I'm grateful, Lord,  

for people who appreciate me
and don't take me for granted...

Today I'm grateful, Lord,  

for people who pray for me

every single day...

Today I'm grateful, Lord, for you: 

my rock, my strength, my hope,
my shelter and my shield...

Today I'm grateful, Lord,  

for all the untold ways 

you lead me through each day
and help me make it through the night...

Today I'm grateful, Lord,  

for your mercy and forgiveness 

and for all my second chances...

 
Today I'm grateful, Lord,  

for all the ways you love me

and walk right by my side..

 
Today I'm grateful 

and to you, Lord,

I give all the praise and glory!
