I know so many folks, Lord, who just now
are facing some difficult choices
and really hard times...
I lift them up to you in prayer
that you might bring them healing and peace...
And I offer them this prayer
to remind us all
that we belong to you,
that you are always by our side,
that the way to peace is to put aside
whatever doesn't lead to you...
Prayer of Saint Francis de Sales
Don’t look forward in fear
to life’s changes and chances
rather, look to them with confidence
that God, to whom you belong,
will take care of you.
He has guided you thus far in life,
and will lead you safely
through all your trials;
don’t fear what may happen tomorrow
the same loving God who guards
you today
will care for you today and
every day.
Be at peace, then,
and put aside
all anxious thoughts and imaginations.
Amen.
